seven pounds

Yeah buddy s.e.v.e.n lbs up from pre-pregnancy!

I was lingering at the 2-3lb mark for weeks and weeks, but apparently I boomed up to 7 recently :)  At 17 weeks & 3 days I weighed in at 131.something pounds!  Grow pumpkin grow!  We have our anatomy scan in 5 days, where we will get to see every little part of our sweet baby & they will be able to tell us the gender.  Instead of finding out at the appointment, we are getting the ultrasound technician to put the results in an envelope for us.  We then, are going to take the secret results to a bakery & they are going to make us a cake, white on the outside, two layers & in-between the 2 layers will either be pink icing (if said results are a baby girl) or blue icing (if said results are a baby boy).

Then, on the following Sunday (the 29th), our closest friends and family will join us for snacks & cake at our gender reveal party.  We will cut the cake in front of everyone & all find out the gender together!!  I'm so excited & very very ready to buy some baby clothes!  I am not one of those gender neutral buyers, I need pink if it's a girl & lots of blues if it's a boy.  So, snuggly sweet newborn size clothes await me at Babies R Us & this mama can't wait to go nuts!

Here's what pumpkin is up to in mommy's tummy these days at almost 18 weeks

Just 9 more days to know for sure if baby on board is a Gavin Reid or an Eden Anne, stay tuned people! It's super exciting...just ask Logan, he loves his "bebe" already & is very ready to know if he will have a little brother or sister!
