sibling love

It's official, my kids are the cutest things ever.

...even when the bunny is a fuss bucket :)

I don't know if there is anything more precious than a big brothers tootsies squished under a boppy pillow that is holding up his baby sister.

Nope, Not even puppies, kittens or baby panda bears touch that level of cuteness... and baby panda bears are pretty freaking precious, see

It's fitting that Thanksgiving is tomorrow because I'm feeling the more thankful this year than any other.  I'm married to the most amazing, loving, funny & ridiculously good looking man ever.  I'm fulfilling my dream job as a chef, a teacher, a taxi driver, a maid, a nurse & a professional multi-tasker all wrapped into one: a stay at home mom.    All of our family is happy & healthy.  We have awesome friends, a roof over our heads & food in our bellies.  I have the two sweetest babies ever...

...seriously, check them out.

Yep, so many things to be thankful for!

I'm extra thankful for Logan & Eden, they are so sweet together.  She lights up when she see's him & he is so loving and gentle with her.  I know we have days in our future of "Logan did this" and "Eden said that", but for now their sweetness is blinding me & I want to forever believe that they will always love & respect each other.  Thats right, you won't catch Eden snooping in Logan's room or Logan ripping Eden's Barbie dolls heads off.  Not my kids, no way.

Oh & Logan is ultra-cute now that he is a big brother.

Like, check him out giving Eden eye ball kisses, because we all know eye ball kisses show someone you REALLY care :)

& snuggling Eden while she was fussy... only by snuggling I mean giving her face a quick sweep with his hair.  I bet she loved that, haha.  He is seriously the coolest, cutest & sweetest big brother I've ever seen.

& the wait is over!

Life has a funny way of handing you lemons from time to time.  I've been lucky enough to be handed lemons that are really sweet, that come hand in hand with a "how to make the best damn lemonade you've ever tasted" manual... and a juicer.  I'm feeling blessed, really really really blessed that my life has turned out the way that it has.  Even when things are tough, and life has thrown me the lemons, I'm surrounded by the people I love the most & we're all rocking it out making lemonade together.

I have such amazing people around me, the most loving husband, amazing family, wonderful friends & the most perfect little boy ever.  And here comes the icing on the cake, another healthy little has graced us with her sweet presence.  I'm over the moon.

Finally after 40 weeks & 2 days of pregnancy (& waiting) our sweet baby girl made her entrance into the world.

Labor was much quicker this time around (I paid my dues with Logan's 36 hour labor).  My contractions really started around 7pm of the 24th.  Once I knew things were 'real' & that this was 'it' I made Justin take my last belly picture.  40 weeks & 2 days bump:

By 3am we were on our way to the hospital, by 5am we were out of triage and in our room & our little darling was in my arms a little over 2 hours later.  I planned a drug free birth & was so proud that I was able to stick to my plan.  There is one thing for sure, I couldn't have done it without Justin by my side.  That man was my rock through it all.

Now don't get me wrong, I may have sounded like a crazy person yelling as she was coming out, but looking back it is the greatest feeling of accomplishment ever.

That's right people.  I am woman, hear me roar.

She came out quickly, after only 4-5 pushes.

Her perfect pink chubby little body was placed on mine, daddy cut the cord & we got to get our first good looks at her.

I didn't want to let her out of my arms.  Her perfect little face, the way it reminded me of Logan's, her smell, her sweet little cry... I wanted to drink it all in.  Justin was right by my face as we gazed at our new baby girl.  Sweet Eden, oh how we have waited for you.

They took her over to the little area in my room to check her out & weigh her.  She had great apgar scores, 10 little fingers & 10 little toes and they confirmed what we already knew...that she was just  perfect.

Then came the giggles.  As I laid in the bed still, I heard Justin laughing then he asked, "You want to know her weight?" At this point from looking at her & all of her sweet little chubbies, I knew she was big.  Logan was 8lb 8.2oz so I was thinking in that rage.

"9 pounds 1.5 ounces" Justin said.  What a big healthy girl!

It partially felt like the twilight zone.  I had all of the same emotions that I did when we had Logan.  The joy that just brings tears to your eyes, the immense amount of love that you feel for this tiny little person, the fact that you want to jump up and down telling the whole world that  this sweet little thing bundled up in a blanket is yours.

My heart has swelled, I get all mushy just thinking about my two sweet babies.  It's amazing & our world is that much sweeter now.  Blessed with 2 sweet & healthy babies, I feel like the luckiest mama ever.

Eden is a dream.  She's such a great baby & I have no idea how we ever lived a day without her.  She fits right in, we didn't know what we were missing until we had her here with us.

Logan is such an amazing big brother, always loving on her & making sure she is okay.  When I see him with her my heart could just explode.  I never would have imagined him to take to her like he has, it melts me into a puddle of mush.

Life has been busy being a mama of two, the best possible busy there is.

If I don't do this now, it will never happen.

yet another catch up post :)

It has to happen before I have Eden otherwise it will never ever happen I figure.  It's going to be short & sweet, lots of pictures cramming what we have been up to the past few months.  I've been a slacky blogger, but life is busy & we've been hanging on like we're in the back cart of a wooden roller coaster (because everyone knows the front cart is overrated).

We have a little shadow in the house
Logan has become quite the little copy cat these days.  It's great until you slip up and say the occasional bad word.  My darling hubby doesn't curse, however he does have a "man's mouth" as I like to call it.  One day we were getting in the car after a shopping trip & as I'm buckling Logan in he proceeds to tell me "it's hot as balls" in the car.  Thanks Justin.  He makes up for his man mouth with cute little moments like this:

that's the cutest spatula shaving you've ever seen, right?

Big boy status
Logan had his first ever sleepover.  We were prepping him for when we are at the hospital with Eden.  He did awesome, total rockstar status!  Justin & I had a lavish night of eating at Sagebrush & renting a redbox movie...one heck of a way to spend your first baby free night in over 2 years.  We're quite obviously getting old and boring.

The furry entertainment
Our poor poor kitty cat Oliver is Logan's favorite play thing.  I'm not even sure how he still likes us, but somehow he does.  Best cat ever I tell you.
Yes, that is in fact a Scooby sticker on Oliver.  He rocks it.  & yes he is laying on a grocery bag, the cat is weird & loves them.

Showered with love & goodies
We had an amazing 2nd baby shower for Eden.  It was just gorgeous & we are so blessed to have so many people that care about us & her.
The chick is already spoiled rotten.

Thomas the train
Logan is obsessed.  Obsessed I tell you!  When we heard that Thomas the Train was going to be at the train museum in Spencer we knew that there was no way we could miss it.  I got the "holy crap are you going to birth that baby right here and now?!?!" looks, it was hot as crap but Logan had an amazing time & that's why we went.
Even Eden enjoyed her first train ride.

Bow business
I've been going crazy making bows, so I decided to open my own bow-tique shop.  I'm loving it & it's actually done quite well, which makes me feel like less of a loser for being so dang excited about it.  You can go *HERE* to check out my bows :)  Do it & buy some, we're providing for our family over here ;)

Packed
Sweet little Eden's bags are packed & ready (mine, not so much).
What her cute little self will be wearing on the way home, I'm in love.

Fair fun.
We stuffed ourselves full of fried yumminess & cotton candy at the Dixie Classic Fair.  Logan dug it.
-barf- the krispy kreme doughnut burger.  No worries, non of us got one.

"Sodder ball".
Which is soccer ball, obviously.  Logan loves soccer & the fact that his buddy Christian plays & he can take advantage of the goal time after their games is just a total perk for our Logan.

Bebe's room is ready.
Well, almost ready.  We are still needing a lamp shade, curtains, a family picture (once she arrives) & something to hang on one of her walls.  But, basically it's ready & I love it.  Like a goof, go in there everyday & just sit and smile.

& speaking of baby.
I'm due in 6 days. S-I-X.  There are two car seats in the back of our car now.
& I'm officially the size of a house, where did my feet go?!?!

So that's that.  Life is about to get much busier & my next update will be a birth story, which is pretty freaking exciting.
